    Join us for this peek into the home of legendary author M.F.K. Fisher. Mary Frances, as she was known by her family and friends, wrote 13 books during 21 years of residence in Last House, which was built for her by architect David Pleydell-Bouverie. She treasured her palazzino! Come see her living space and imagine James Beard, Julia Child and Bert Greene cooking there. Light refreshments served.     Leah Garchik mentioned dame Peggy Knickerbocker as being a Bay Area James Beard honoree in the May 4, 2017 SF Chronicle. Peggy's story "Brain Food," published in Cooking Light about Paula Wolfert (also a dame) and Alzheimer's disease, won a journalism award.
