Take a fresh look at extra-virgin olive oil, an essential pantry staple. What’s the difference between filtered and unfiltered, and is one better than the other? Why should we stop saying first cold press? How many oils should you have in your pantry? What’s the news from the recent California harvest? And yes, you can and should cook with EVOO! Get together with sister Dames to explore the wonderful world of extra-virgin olive oils in a comfortable, informal setting as we sample some of this year’s most sought-after extra-virgins and enjoy an olive oil-centric food pairing buffet.

Special thanks to co-host Dame Alice Medrich for opening up her home and presenting new ways of using EVOO in salads and desserts; to Dame Nancy Ash for oils, supplies, and expertise; to co-host Dame Roberta Klugman for food, wine, and oils; and to the olive oil producers for their generous donations.
